Free Camp Stipend Fund – Goal: $800,000 – Raised to Date: $132,550

Annual proceeds from this fund help churches, schools, and nonprofit groups with the rising costs of camp programming. Transportation, food, insurance, and proper staffing are all aspects of camp that are not included with the free use of facilities. Small “bridge” stipends are awarded to groups throughout the year and are determined on a case‐by‐case basis through a formal application.

Outdoor Education Program – Goal: $600,000 – Raised to Date: $444,310

For the first time in its history, the Foundation Free Camps will employ program staff to provide hands‐on learning for Texas schools designed to supplement classroom curriculum like TEKS (Texas Essentials Knowledge & Skills). We also believe the Outdoor Education Program will introduce camp to many children who would likely have no other access to such an experience in nature.

The seed funds will provide the resources for five years of programming.
